Oxford Playhouse is thriving artistically and commercially, with record-breaking sales and a new commitment to regular producing and commissioning. A restructure of the leadership team at the Oxford Playhouse will result in a new Joint Chief Executive (Operations) sharing the Executive role with the current Director/CEO from Spring 2020. (OP). Both will report to and be given equal responsibility by the Board of Directors. The job descriptions of the two senior posts have been devised to enable the Joint Chief Executive (Artistic) to devote more time to the artistic vision, programme and practice of the company, while allowing the Joint Chief Executive (Operations) to lead on the successful and efficient management of the theatre, strengthening the organisation’s financial and operational resilience.

The Joint Chief Executives are equally responsible for the overall health and development of OP and all its activities and strategic, long-term planning. Consultation between the two senior officers will be continuous and creative. It is upon this relationship that the success and good health of the company will depend. Together the Artistic and Operations CEOs will head the Senior Management Team.
