Job Vacancy – Administrative Assistant
up to 20 hours per week during term times

Sunningwell School of Art seeks an Administrative Assistant with some technical expertise, to support the work of the Administrative Director and the Artistic Director.
The Administrative Assistant will need to be able to demonstrate excellent customer facing skills with a flair for sales and marketing. They will have an interest in the arts and will be able to demonstrate sociable interaction with students on a daily basis.
The role demands flexibility of working hours, some evenings weekends and bank holidays will be required as well as availability for out of term short courses.
Duties include house-keeping tasks such as serving refreshments during the class breaks, loading and unloading the dishwasher, taking stock of supplies and purchasing essential goods from ‘Cash and Carry’. The role also requires a considerable contribution towards office administration, the post holder will be the first port of call for I.T. and P.C. issues that may arise. They will be responsible for maintaining the website and social media outreach, familiarity with all the popular Microsoft applications is essential but also in-depth knowledge of Lotus Approach to maintain the student database. Knowledge of GDPR regulations and a good understanding of Health and Safety is essential as is the need to be a car owner and within close commutable distant of the Art School.
The School of Art is a Charity and offers art opportunities to nearly 500 students ages 5 – 95 irrespective of previous education.
Remuneration to be discussed and based on experience.
