JUSTICE IN MOTION are seeking exceptional male performers to join the core cast of their new outdoor production ON EDGE. We are looking for highly skilled and committed individuals, with strong acting and movement background, and excellent parkour skills, as well as an enthusiasm for socio-critical theatre and community.

ON EDGE is a physical theatre piece, that looks into issues of modern slavery within the construction industry, through a dynamic and unusual fusion of theatre and parkour. After an initial R&D phase in June 2018, we are now developing the work further to premiere at Brighton Festival on 11th May. Performers will be paid at Equity standard rates. This project is fully funded by Arts Council England, the Chartered Institute of Building and other commissioning partners, as well as supported by the Gangmasters & Labour Abuse Authority, Hope for Justice, the Salvation Army, and Unseen. Further information about ON EDGE can be found HERE.

Successful applicants will be required to attend all of the rehearsal dates, and to be available for specified dates during the touring period (more details will be communicated during the workshop audition).
Selected performers will also be invited to attend a focused 3-day physical theatre training with David Glass as part of the project from 25th-27th February.

Between May – Oct 2019: at Brighton Festival (11th May), Greenwich and Dockland International Festival (29th June), Edinburgh Fringe Festival (tbc), Freedom Festival (30thAug-1st Sept), Lakes Alive (5-8th Sept), Out There Festival (13-15th Sept); as well as touring to Oxford tbc (June), Edinburgh (June), Nottingham tbc (June), Banbury (19-21st July), Bedford (July), Watford (October), London tbc, etc.

Further international dates are planned from January 2020 to Australia, South Korea and Europe.
