On the iCreative Windrush - Next Generations programme you will join contemporary artists Rachel Barbaresi and Amantha Edmead. You will have opportunity to gain creative digital skills making artworks in response to the Windrush stories, an important part of British and local history.
Over the project you will work with professional artists, learn about digital sound recording techniques through capturing and documenting voices of the Windrush generations, and get to respond to the subject in your own way. You can create digital and non-digital artworks through, drawing, painting, sculpture, dance, poetry, theatre, and learn about curation. Your work will form part of the Windrush Years - Next Generations Exhibition at the Museum of Oxford, Town Hall, an exhibition by ACHKI (Afrikan Caribbean Kultural Heritage Initiative) and BK LUWO.
