The New Theatre Oxford is looking for a friendly, organised and proactive Stage Door Receptionist

The New Theatre is situated in the vibrant and historic City of Oxford, and has been the home of variety for over 100 years. The current theatre was opened in 1934 and incorporates a stage revolve and retains its art deco interior. With a capacity of 1785, the theatre plays host to leading opera and ballet companies, West End musicals, contemporary dance and sell-out pop and rock concerts. This planned season includes Jersey Boys, Kinky Boots, Dr Dolittle and The National Theatres' Macbeth.

The Stage Door department plays a pivotal role in ensuring we offer outstanding customer service to staff and visiting companies, providing clear communication across the building, providing administrative support and having key building and fire safety responsibilities. The Stage Door receptionist is an integral member of the core team of staff and this is an exciting opportunity for an exceptionally organised individual to help lead the New Theatre Oxford in a new, dynamic and community driven direction.

You'll provide a welcoming, efficient and effective Stage Door operation delivering exceptional customer service. The stage door provides a positive, helpful and friendly first point of contact and provides quality administrative, communications and reception support service for all departments, callers, visitors, contractors and visiting company personnel. The Stage Door is also the centre of our fire alarm system and plays an important role in the safety and security of our building.
