Offbeat is a festival of brand-new theatre, comedy, dance, and music taking place at the Old Fire Station and Burton Taylor Theatre and the Playhouse Main Stage, as a partnership between Arts at the Old Fire Station and the Oxford Playhouse. 60 shows over 8 days means our Reception area at the Old Fire Station will be busy with Artists, volunteers and audiences. It is also a shared space with Crisis UK whose Receptionists work there, welcoming homeless and vulnerably housed people to the work of Crisis.

We are looking for Stage Door Keepers to work at the Old Fire Station to provide an informed welcome for customers, audiences, general public, artists and crisis members alike. With particular attention paid to the needs of performers who are part of the Offbeat festival 2018. This role is suitable for someone who enjoys talking with new people and working in a friendly team. There are shifts available from 10am to 4pm and from 4pm to 10pm. We particularly need availability on Saturday 23 June and Saturday 30th June.

Please see for more information.

We are also looking for volunteer ushers for all of the shows at the Old Fire Station. If you love new and innovative shows, then this is the festival for you. Email quoting ‘Offbeat Volunteers’ as the subject for more information.

There will be a Training Session for all Offbeat Volunteers and Stage Door Keepers on Wednesday 13th June at 5.30pm.
