Chipping Norton Theatre is a restlessly busy and ambitious theatre and arts centre in the Cotswolds. Welcoming over 50,000 people every year in a town of over 6,500, The Theatre delivers a year-round programme of theatre, comedy, music, film and participatory activities for audiences across the region. More recently, we have grown as a producing house, creating three major productions each year and growing a stronger and more loyal audience as a result. We are seeking highly motivated individuals to make a contribution to our transformed theatre.
The Theatre is a charming and warm environment for this wide range of activities. In addition to the main 200+ seat auditorium, we have workshop and rehearsal spaces and a gallery exhibiting local and national artists.
This busy role manages all communication relating to the events and participation programme at the venue across print, online and social media platforms as well as working with the press. You will be a highly organised and motivated communicator with an eye for detail and the ability to work under pressure in marketing or communications context. The role requires budget management and working closely with Artistic Director, programming and fundraising teams. It is a fantastic opportunity to work at the heart of an ambitious and welcoming team.
The job is diverse, demanding a degree of flexibility, a high level of multi-tasking organisation, and lots of energy! Although this is the only full time marketing role at The Theatre there are a number of other staff that support it, as everyone in the building takes on some sort of marketing role.
The post reports directly to the Director, with whom it works closely. The post holder will also work closely with our Producer and Assistant Programmer who produces the quarterly programme.
