The Oxfordshire Local History Association (OLHA, www.olha.org.uk) is for everyone interested in the history of our county. We foster and promote the study and publication of local history and act as an umbrella organisation for local history groups, of which there are more than eighty in Oxfordshire. We also campaign to preserve and improve services for Oxfordshire local historians.

Currently members of OLHA receive a monthly e-bulletin but we would like also to publish a fuller newsletter, in both printed and electronic form, and we are looking for someone to edit and produce this newsletter. The job would involve collecting suitable articles on current topics of interest to Oxfordshire historians and editing these in collaboration with their authors; writing some content, for example on forthcoming exhibitions and events; laying out the text and images using suitable software; liasing with the printer over production; proof reading the final draft; and sending out the journal to members with the help of the membership secretary. The post holder would become a member of the OLHA committee which meets four times a year in Oxford. The newsletter would be published three times a year, ideally in March, July and November (twice a year might also be acceptable).

For further information on the post and for an informal discussion please contact the OLHA chairman Tony Hadland on chair@olha.org.uk.
