This is a call-out for blind or partially sighted individuals to be involved in a project led by three local artists that explores sight, sense and memory.

We wish to use camera-less photography techniques to recreate significant memories held by each participant.

These memories will be gathered through informal one-to-one conversation or group discussions. We will then explore various analogue processes to create imagery. The resulting photographs will be presented in book form alongside tactile descriptions.

After the initial meeting, participants will be given a disposable camera to take away. We are keen for everyone to have the opportunity to experiment with various photographic techniques including cyanotype and pin-hole photography.

We will undertake the printing and binding of the book ourselves and if desired, we can also provide introductory book-binding workshops using material gathered from the workshops.

All who have been involved in the project will be invited to a group reading and discussion of the book once the project is completed.

If you would like to be involved, know anyone who may be of interest, or if you want to learn more about us and what we do, please don't hesitate to get in touch.
