The role
Part of Oxford City Council’s Culture team, the Museum of Oxford is an Arts Council England Accredited museum with a unique focus on telling the story of the city of Oxford and its communities.

We are looking for a number of Heritage Retail Assistants to provide cover during holiday periods and sickness. You will primarily work in the Museum Gift Shop, covering a variety of tasks including selling gifts, covering the welcome desk for visitors and museum volunteers and managing the box office for events. This role is vital to ensuring our visitors and volunteers have a positive experience and are keen to return.

This is a great opportunity to work in a Museum / Cultural venue environment on a flexible basis. You will be supporting the permanent team during busy periods and at short notice, providing a high level of customer service to all our visitors. Your hours of work will be as and when required by prior arrangement.
