Textile/Fashion Artist to facilitate a Wearable Technology Project

OYAP Trust is running a science and fashioned inspired project for young people over the May half term. We are looking for a textile artist/fashion designer to facilitate the project and lead on the design elements of the project.

Project Time: 11am -5pm

Project Description:
A three day event, organised as a ‘Hackathon’, in which students are given a challenge to create a piece of clothing for a particular group in the community which combines technology with fashion in practical yet aesthetically pleasing way. The project will end with a digital presentation of the designs presented to a panel of judges and uploaded onto the OYAP website.

The artist will work with Science Oxford to plan the project details and develop an understanding of how the technology works and it's limitation. Science Oxford will deliver the session on how to use the technology to participants but the artist will act as the core facilitator over the 3 days.
