Creative Dementia Arts Network (CDAN) is an Oxford based organisation with a national reach.
We are seeking an experienced administrator for one day a week to support our busy Chief Executive
The post is temporary but we aim to secure funding to extend it beyond June 2017 when we hold the first of our major conferences this year.
Much of the work we require can be done on line and the post is very flexible - it could suit someone who has graduated, is studying, has care responsibilities, or is working part time elsewhere.
We are looking for a well organised administrator who is comfortable multi-tasking, communicating with range of CDAN’s contacts and can design and produce promotional material
Key responsibilities
• Ensure that CDAN works effectively with Sheffield Hallam University in organising and running CDAN's conference in June 2017
• Refresh and update a range of CDAN’s key documents and databases
• Work with the CE to produce articles, documents, letters and reports
• Work with the CE on developing funding bids
Skills
Essential
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to update CDAN’s databases through web searches and phone calls
• Proficiency in MS Office (MS WORD, and Excel, in particular)
• Attention to detail and problem solving skills
• Strong time management and organisational skills
Desirable
• Some Knowledge of ageing, arts and health would be useful
• Knowledge of website development/Word Press
• Ability to design publicity material including flyers using Adobe Photoshop or other design package

Experience
• Proven experience as an administrative assistant
• Confident writer using experience gained through professional work or academic study
• Delivering on deadlines
Place and pattern of work
90% of this post involves work on a computer but the person appointed can work anywhere and anytime as long as the tasks agreed for the week are completed to an acceptable standard and on time. It is envisaged that the successful candidate will be able to work a minimum of 6 hours a week. Although much of the work is clerical and administrative this a good opportunity for someone who wants to work with a small charity to gain more experience.
There will be regular meetings with the CE besides contact by email, phone or by Skype
