Pegasus Theatre Board of Trustees is seeking sparky, strategic thinkers to join us to help develop and support our work

Pegasus sparks creativity and imagination in young people from all backgrounds, empowering them and giving them a voice. We do this through an exemplary programme of participation at the heart of a professional theatre presenting inspirational drama, dance and music.
We need trustees who will bring enthusiasm for our values of excellence, accessibility and excitement; who will think strategically, listen and ask difficult questions to help us achieve our objectives and take on future challenges. Trustees should bring an interest in or experience of working at board level, in the voluntary or business sector.
We operate a rolling recruitment programme but are particularly looking to appoint new trustees early in 2017 with the following skills and experience:
• Theatre or other performing arts practitioners
• Building or venue management
• Work within local authorities, health or social care providers and/or enterprise partnerships
• Customer focused business
Pegasus has a strong commitment to diversity and inclusion in all areas and believes they are essential to achieving excellence. We therefore strongly encourage candidates from underrepresented groups.
As one of our trustees you would have the opportunity to support a unique, passionate and driven charity, which has a transformative impact on the communities it works with. Our Board sets the strategy for the organisation and delegates authority to the Joint Chief Executives for all operational matters. Young people are at the heart of the organisation’s governance and decision making and the Board includes two Young Trustees.
The role is voluntary, with reasonable expenses paid. The Board meet quarterly in Oxford with several sub groups that meet between these full meetings.
