Wheatley Singers is a non-auditioning choir based in Wheatley. The choir is directed by Kate Billimore and numbers about 30 singers across all sections. The choir puts on two concerts a year which are always in aid of a local charity. We are lucky to have an orchestra and soloists who freely give their time for the concerts. Our repertoire is typically sacred, classical choral works but recently we have given a concert performance of H.M.S. Pinafore as well as concerts based on opra choruses and the American song book. We welcome new singers, whatever their ability, to join a friendly and enthusiastic group. Our director of nmusic encourages all of us with good humour and thorough musical knowledge to bring out the best in all of us.
