Vicky Vergou is an interdisciplinary artist who works with film, sound, painting and drawing. Through research and participatory processes she responds to the themes of migration and landscape, often producing site specific work in rural locations. She was awarded an MA in Contemporary Arts by Oxford Brookes University in 2005. She has worked as a director of photography, graphic designer, filmmaker, film editor, art teacher and curator. Vicky facilitates workshops for the general public, local communities, children and artists as well as for specialists’ groups, including mental health, complex needs and people living with long term illness.
Her breadth of experience allows her to develop diverse ideas and work with flexibility, using a wide range of media including watercolour, inks, oil pastels and acrylics. She actively encourages diversity and experimentation.
