Fundamentally Sioban Coppinger is a sculptor who works extensively in cast bronze, copper, and silver. She creates public sculptures and private commissions, her engaging and witty sculptures have been adopted as landmarks from Birmingham to Templecombe. Sioban has exhibited widely, and continuously produces exploratory new bronzes.

Sioban’s work is inspired by our entanglement with the natural world. Known for her versatility, she has a deep fascination for materials and techniques. Whatever her chosen media, be it sculpture, drawing, painting or etching, Sioban combines an acute observation of people and animals with an affectionate and often wry view of both.

The Muse is an enchanting purpose built studio and foundry in Lambourn, Berkshire. Sioban uses the studios for: wax work; bronze casting and finishing; patination; plaster and clay work; etching; painting and drawing; as well as a gallery for clients to visit. People are welcome to view completed works and ongoing projects by arrangement.
