I am a young theatre maker and film / television actress. Having recently moved from Dublin to Oxford I'm excited about getting involved in the theatre and arts scene over here.
As an actress I have appeared in several television shows and films such as the Tudors, Camelot, Vikings, Dummy ( Parallel Films ), Pairs & Spares ( Jameson Dublin International Film Festival Official Selection ), Mirrorman ( Cannes 2011 Official Selection ) as well as the web series Oracle.
For stage I have played leading roles in A Midsummer Night's Dream, The Lesson ( Classic Theatre Chicago), Billy the Boat loves Angelina ( Liberty Hall Theatre and New Theatre, Dublin).
I greatly enjoy devising new work and was delighted to be involved in the creation of Joy Forsythe's between the Lines- an exploration of age, writing and performing my own work within the piece. Equally, it was an exciting process to devise the Well of Dreams with Gavin Fullam, April Bracken and Nicola Davis, for performance at the prestigious Oisin Gallery Dublin.
Continuing in this frame I have written, directed, produced and performed in two productions for my own company Red Beast Theatre. Both productions ( The Gothic Horror Show and A Dublin Christmas Carol) sold out and received highly positive feedback.
In moving to Oxford I am looking forward to collaborate with emerging artists in similar disciplines and create fresh and dynamic work. I also look forward to pursuing exciting acting work within theatre and film.
My training includes The Conservatory of Music and Drama, Dublin, and Columbia College, Chicago (BA DISTINCTION) as well as courses with Second Age, Natural Shocks, Actor Training Ireland, the RSC, RADA Screen Training Ireland, and Carpet theatre company.
My sources of inspiration include Michael Haneke, Julie Taymor, the Coen Brothers, Tom Hooper, Peter Brook, Selina Cartmell, Judi Dench, Maggie Smith, Lena Dunham, Michael Boyd, Corn Exchange, Pat Kinevan, Forkbeard Fantasy, the Neofuturists, Kneehigh, Dorothy Cross, Edward Hall, Robert Wilson, Trestle, and many many more.
