I am currently the Healthy Communities Manager at West Oxfordshire District Council. Although I have worked here since 1997 my role has changed a few times and I started out as the Council's first Arts Development Officer. The work I and involved in now has many strands from public art to community safety and grants. We work closely with community groups. We commission public art and lead arts projects across the area. We are particularly interested in work which engages people who often miss out. We advise groups interested in the arts and help people just starting out. We give small grants. Although we have no council owned arts venue we do support The Theatre Chipping Norton.
