Get the Picture - older people in Oxford speaking up

Get the Picture works to ensure that older people and carers in Oxford have their voices heard and have the opportunity to influence important decisions that affect their lives.

Listening to the experiences and concerns of those who may have been less heard, or less inclined to speak up, we will work together to raise important issues and send strong messages to the right people in the right places.

Issues will be highlighted using a combination of creative means – including photographs, film, written and spoken word. We believe that this will be a striking and effective way of ‘speaking truth to power’ and influencing change. Funded by Comic Relief

Funded by Comic Relief, Get the Picture is currently working on a set of videos of older people and their carers affected by recent savings options proposals by Oxfordshire County Council.
