Do you like textiles, fabrics and threads? Are you interested in mixed media art and embroidery? Then you should come and visit us - the Oxford branch of the Embroiderers' Guild. We meet at 7.15pm on the 2nd Wednesday of each month (except August) at Iffley Village Hall, usually to listen to an invited speaker. Visitors are very welcome.

You don't have to stitch at all to come and visit us - the only thing you need is an interest. We are a friendly and enthusiastic group of around 50 members, covering a wide range of textile interests, experience and techniques. Some of our members are active stitchers and lots aren't, some exhibit under their own name or with other groups, and some don't exhibit at all, but we all share an interest and enthusiasm for things in the textile and visual arts.

We have a programme of speakers throughout the year and also hold 3/4 Saturday workshops - all related to visual arts and textiles, but not necessarily involving a needle and thread, tutors share their experience and often introduce us to techniques we haven't tried before.

You can choose to join the Guild (annual subscription) or simply come as a visitor - either way, we'll be delighted to meet you.
