What the critics say!:

".....it is to the director Amy Standish that I give my greatest credit. She has obviously taken John Godber's fantastic work and has been able to adapt it...to bring it to today's audience with the use of great imagination and ideas"

"Abingdon Touring Theatre truly excels itself in this fantastic interpretation of Teechers...highly entertaining...The choreographed fight is timed to perfection and the play’s serious educational messages are not forgotten. This play will make you laugh out loud, and stun you into silence"

".....we were treated to a magical performance from Oxford Impro. Two actors, Amy Standish and John Hicks, performed a series of improvised sketches on the theme of ‘The Seven Ages of Man’..... I found the sheer creativity and inventiveness of the two actors quite exhilarating. Using words and suggestions from the audience they were able to conjure up a series of sketches almost as if by magic..... Behind the apparently effortless spontaneity of the actors lies, I suspect, meticulous practice and preparation."

"...certainly ample evidence that top-quality live performance comes not from flash scenery, stunning wardrobes and ooh-aah lights, but from the talent of the people involved. The whole company, from the production team to the actors, just oozed enthusiasm, and it showed...an audience aged from four to eighty-four was kept enthralled for two hours"

"...emphasis was definitely on fun, and the group was encouraged to interact and work as a team...Amy Standish made everyone feel comfortable with each other, and the games suited all confidence levels and abilities...Early on, there was some discussion about personal goals - so that the group leaders could help people get the most out of the workshop. There were lots of opportunities for feedback and dialogue, which let everyone help each other benefit from the work and provide encouragement...Very effective and inventive exercises were used throughout the workshop to put all these explanations and theories into practice..."
