This fascinating exhibition showcases the work of Buckinghamshire-based artist Patricia Lynch. The majority of Patricia’s work is done by exploring the ancient techniques of gilding and egg tempera on hand-made gesso panels. Patricia’s latest work explores the richness of landscape, the human figure and still life objects using many subtle colours and glazes together with drawing marks scratched into the gesso surface. Although egg tempera is traditionally used in a disciplined way to portray saints and angels, its luminous quality, lustrous surface and brilliant colours, make it an exciting medium for a more contemporary approach.
