I have been a professional artist and illustrator for more than twenty years.

Based in Oxford, I specialise in portraiture and publishing work.

My styles range from realistic oil and acrylic, to impressionistic palette knife work. I produce digital artwork using Painter and Photoshop for Publishing and advertising.

I also take commissions and offer private tuition in portraiture.

Folk Weekend Oxford : Craft Fair

Folk Weekend Oxford – 20th – 22nd April 2012 - is the replacement for Oxford folk Festival, which was sadly cancelled in 2011. The Festival will be based in The Old Fire Station, with events happening also happening at Wesley Memorial Church & Hall, Oxford Castle & Ashmolean Museum. A free craft fair will be based in the Gardens at Oxford Castle, with Morris displays and performances also taking place there.

I've set up Windrush Creative as a new business for 2012 and its aim is to offer new and exciting craft workshops in West Oxfordshire. So far the following workshops have been organised: Weave a Willow Animal, Weave a Willow Plant Support, Make Your Own Mosaic and Make Your Own Felt. New workshops currently being organised including: Make Your Own Bead Jewellery and Paint Your Own Pottery. Arts at the Old Fire Station

Arts at the Old Fire Station is a charity and social enterprise in the heart of Oxford, offering a range of performances and exhibitions for everyone, support for emerging artists and enterprising ways to sustain and develop art as a business.

We have a shop selling original artwork, a gallery with a wide range of exhibitions, a theatre offering music and drama, a studio for all kinds of dance and workshops for artists to make work. We also have space to hire for classes, rehearsals and meetings.

Debbie has been potting for 16 years, coming up through the adult education / City & Guild route.

Debbie has a passion for hand-built organic forms and occasionally includes mould making elements. For the several years she focused on making teapots (some would say, indeed many did, she was obsessed ). However she has developed her work into more organic forms, which incorporate long stems (spouts) and have a distinctly anatomical feel about them.

Debbie works predominantly in earthenware, with occasional forays into stoneware and even porcelain, using a small palette glazes.

The 06 Gallery is based on the campus of John Mason School in Abingdon. The Gallery plays host to exciting and innovative work from artists across Oxfordshire and beyond. In recent years we have hosted touring exhibitions by David Hockney and The Chapman Brothers.
