OVADA is proud to be part of this year’s Christmas Light Night when cultural venues across Oxfordshire welcome thousands of visitors during a special late night opening. On Friday 26 November 2010 OVADA will take over one of the City’s most attractive and historic buildings, Oxford Town Hall, for one night only.

OVADA is looking for a maximum of 10 artists working in the South East region to use this unique opportunity to show and/or produce new work that responds to the physical space or the history of Oxford Town Hall.

I am a freelance visual artist and creative learning consultant. My fine art practice is responsive to times, places and circumstances that surround me meaning that my work can take a variety of forms according the the needs of the work and what I find around me. I undertake residencies in a variety of settings - I recently completed a residency exploring creativity and drawing with scientists at the Institute for the Future of the Mind, department of Pharmacology at Oxford University.

Creative Art Gallery are asking YOU to curate our forthcoming exhibition. ‘Art You Grew Up With’ is a celebration of 100 years of illustration and animation that defined your childhood. We are asking YOU to get involved in the fun by voting for your favourite graphics and characters, with the top 5 appearing in the exhibition. YOU decide what goes on our walls!

Arts Assistant, Chipping Norton Theatre: working in close support to the Artistic Director, you will ensure efficient administration of film and live programme booking and provide general administrative support including first point of contact for telephone enquiries. Challenging, involved arts administration post in unique venue.

I paint landscapes and portraits in opils or watercolours. I also paint murals in acrylics.

Part time 4 days / week.

The Jam Factory is seeking an enthusiastic, warm and creative gallery manager.

This is an ideal opportunity to be fully involved in all aspects of the Arts Centre. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact, responsible for liaising with artists, tutors, models and public, curating and setting up exhibitions, managing the stock, marketing and press relations and general gallery administration.

Previous gallery experience and a strong knowledge of contemporary art is preferred.

My work is based around art silver clay and silver smithing techniques . I love using graphic prints and striking aged technique to give it it’s quirky edge of antique New England, medieval and even shakespearean designs. My latest designs have started to encorporate tiny touches of enamel to create a new exclusive range for JoJoJewellery
