Creative Partnerships - Change School Project, Tackley Church of England Primary School

Tackley Church of England Primary School, Oxfordshire wish to contract one Creative Partner to support the delivery of their project as a Change School.

The background: Building on the success of two previous enquiry based projects on raising pupils’ aspirations and developing their abilities to explore stories within their community Tackley School now wishes to look at developing oral story telling skills.

My fine art practice is responsive to times, places and circumstances that surround me meaning that my work can take a variety of forms according the the needs of the work and what I find around me. I undertake residencies in a variety of settings - I recently completed a residency exploring creativity and drawing with scientists at the Institute for the Future of the Mind, department of Pharmacology at Oxford University.

Community and Education Officer, Chipping Norton Theatre: work with the C+E Director to build and rebrand our successful community engagement programme, delivering theatre and arts activities for all age groups. Develop new initiatives and increase revenue through innovative marketing and securing new funding. Potential to combine with another post at the Theatre.

Oxfam Artopia- creating a collaborative piece about our vision of climate utopia!

Artopia is a participatory art project, using art to help people think about the kind of environment we want for the generations coming after us. We will be delivering climate change and art workshops throughout the day, and then launching the finished piece in a public space. We are taking it across the South East but will be at the Witney Corn Exchange on 22nd July.

John Mason School Visual and Performing Arts Specialist College in the Abingdon Schools Partnership.

Required for September 2010-July 2011 ANIMATOR/DESIGNER IN RESIDENCE

As part of the initiatives associated with our specialist status, we are looking to appoint an animator/designer-in-residence to work within the creative arts faculty, our partner schools and the community programme.

The successful candidate should be a practising animator/artist/designer or newly graduated student who would like the opportunity to have a workplace and continue to develop his/her own work.
